Congregational Care

Congregational Care supports Session in providing pastoral care. We respond to Christ's call to love one another and seek to extend care to the congregation as a whole. We aim to support all individuals through any circumstance of life to show God's love and help them to grow in faith. Care is shown through friendship, listening, practical help, prayer and God's word, the Bible. 
 
As part of Congregational Care, small groups provide an opportunity to support and "love one another" on a more personal level. They also allow for deepening one's own faith journey.  
 
The Pastoral visiting small group actively connects and encourages seniors and those unable to get out to worship with the community at large. Members of that small group visit those in hospital or shut in, send cards,and offer prayers as specific needs arise. There are also small groups that get together to further study God's word through book and Bible studies. Other small groups gather to provide fellowship and "continue the caring of Jesus" by doing work for others. 
 
Larger congregational fellowship activities are arranged throughout the year to build relationships and bring us together as a community of faith. Join us for refreshments in the foyer following worship or for congregational meals and events. Watch the Church calendar for the different events.  
 
We all know that sometimes we all need help and support to get through many of life's challenges, no matter what age or stage of life we are in. Reach out to the church office for any pastoral concern you may have or for information about joining a small group.

All of us are needed to fully participate and serve in congregational life and care 

• "Bear with and forgive one another" (Col 3:13) 
• "Love one another" (John 13:34) 
• "Serve one another" (Gal 5:13) 
• "Pray for one another" (James 5:16) 

During this time of CoVid 19 Pandemic when we are unable to meet physically in large or small groups we continue to care for the congregation via phone, mail, email and various online platforms.
