Meet Our New Pastor

Welcome to the Calvin Presbyterian Church website!  We hope you will take a few minutes and have a look around and then feel free to contact us or visit us in person.

The Rev. Lucas Bruder de Oliveira will be joining us starting on November 1, 2025.  Rev. Lucas will lead his first worship service on Sunday, November 9 at 10:30 am.

Rev. Lucas brings several years of experience preaching in the Presbyterian Church in Brazil (ordained in 2015) and has recently completed his Master of Theology at the Vancouver School of Theology (2025).

Lucas was born and raised in Brazil.  He speaks English and Portuguese. He and his wife, Rev. Angie Song were married just recently.  Angie is originally from St Catharines, Ontario.

We are excited to welcome Rev. Lucas and the care, experience, and spiritual leadership he will bring to our community. As always, our prayer is that Calvin continues to grow and flourish as we serve God together.
